Suspected Thief Wanted For Punching Burlington Store Manager, Police Say

A man was wanted for assaulting a Burlington Township store's manager after stealing items, authorities said.

Officers responded to a store on the 1100 block of Sunset Road at around 10:51 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, the Burlington Township Police Department said in a news release. A picture released of the suspect appeared to be inside a Dollar General.

Investigators said the man tried to hide merchandise he was stealing and was confronted by the store manager. The suspect pushed and punched the manager several times, injuring the manager's face and mouth.

The man ran away from the store before police arrived.
